01You Can Lose Money

Every stake can be lost in full. Only stake what you can afford to lose.

A rake makes every pool negative-sum in aggregate. Across all players, more is staked than is paid out.

Nothing here is a forecast of returns. Most automated strategies lose money over time.

Contracts can contain bugs. An audit reduces risk, it does not remove it.

Feeds can go stale or diverge. The venue voids and refunds rather than settle on a bad price, which means rounds can be cancelled.

Bringing BTC to the settlement chain involves third-party bridge or custody services with their own failure modes.

Prediction markets are restricted in some jurisdictions. Rules can change, and access can be withdrawn in a region.
