The market structure is the promise. Per round caps, no house counterparty, a flat public rake of 3 percent, published before you stake, leagues that match like against like.
Odds are identical for every participant regardless of which asset they stake. Assets convert at deposit. Every pool settles in a single denomination. Odds are never split.
Settled By Bitcoin Itself
Hemi contracts can read Bitcoin chain data directly. Block height and halving epoch markets settle from Bitcoin with no external source at all. Difficulty markets settle from a published formula over Bitcoin block headers.
Order book venues cannot copy this structurally, because their settlement always routes through a reporter rather than the chain itself.
Price markets settle on the median of exchange direct sources: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp and OKX. At least two must respond and agree within 0.5 percent, or the round voids with full refunds and zero rake.
Three Commitments We Hold
The venue never originates flow on live pools. Simulated flow exists in the demo only and is labeled as demo.
A round settles exactly once, enforced at the engine level. No re-settlement, no quiet correction.
A market exists only if it settles from a price feed or from Bitcoin chain data readable on Hemi.
Hemi is a young network. Sequencer decentralization is on its roadmap, not ours to claim. We disclose dependencies rather than hide them.
Live From Day One
We will publish the real percentage of net-positive wallets here, updated continuously. Expect it below 50 percent. A rake makes every pool negative-sum in aggregate. What this venue changes is the distribution.

Maximum stake per wallet per round keeps a single account from cornering the pool.

The losing pool is what gets split. Winners take their stake back plus a share of the losing pool in proportion to what they staked, after the published rake.
Nobody Knows The Strike
Staking closes before the strike price is set. The strike is read at the moment the round locks, so the entire move that decides the round happens after the last stake is accepted. A late staker sees none of the move they are betting on.
Payouts are plain pro rata. Your stake returns in full on a win, on top of your share of the losing pool. Ties and voided rounds refund every stake with zero rake. Sub unit remainders round down and stay in the pool.
Seeing pool composition while staking is open is normal price discovery. It is exactly what the depth ladder shows openly on the round page.
Hedging both sides is strictly loss making here. The hedger pays the rake on the losing side and gains nothing for it.
On some live venues a tie sends the whole pot to the house and a one sided round sends it to the treasury. Here ties, voids and one sided rounds refund every stake with zero rake.
Fairness here is structural, not a promise of profit. Parimutuel payouts, per round caps, leagues, and a small public rake are the tools. Some players win. Many break even. Some lose. The board tells you the truth as it stands.
